Super
System (or consider the new Super
System 2)
Doyle Brunson
Super
System is considered the Bible of poker by many. It was,
when it was first written, groundbreaking and is still
considered to be one of the best books ever written on
no limit Texas Holdem. Some of the book is outdated, with
references to antes in regular Holdem, but despite this
it is a must read for advanced poker players. Super
System 2 promises to be an updated version and a must
have for any poker player. |

Caro's
Book Of Poker Tells
Mike Caro
If
you don't yet have this book in your collection you need
to get it. If nothing else you can amuse yourself by laughing
at the 70s fashion and men with long hair and beards playing
poker. But perhaps more useful than the fashion faux pas
is the insights Mike Caro has on the psychology and body
language of poker. This is a must read.

The
Psychology of Poker
Alan N. Schoonmaker
As
an advanced player you should not need to be reminded
that poker is a game about people as opposed to a game
about cards. This book attempts to delve into the psychology
of poker players and offer insight that allows you to
view the game from a different angle. Worth a look.

Harrington's writing style is simple and straightforward, he explaines nuances of the game in a very easy to understand format which makes this one of the most valuable poker books out there. Highly recommended.
